What is a Virtual Assisstant?

While some people may think of virtual assistants as administrative assistants (and many are), VA’s are actually small business owners themselves who offer a variety of talents and skills to other small business owners. If you need something done that can be done virtually, there's a virtual assistant out there who can do it — and do it for much less than it would cost you to hire a full-time person in house. A Virtual Assistant is an independent contractor who provides professional quality administrative services (including word processing, data processing, business plans, marketing support, human resource support, research) to businesses and individuals. Tasks or Projects are communicated to the virtual assistant via the internet, phone, fax or courier.
